Corri Taylor, a Kentucky Virtual Academy teacher, was selected for the inaugural 2025 Teaching Kentucky History Institute. She joins 21 other educators in a five-day program studying Kentucky’s early history, collaborating with experts, and exploring historical sites. The program focuses on Indigenous populations, European settlement, and Kentucky’s role in the American Revolution. Participants will gain resources to enhance history education in their schools. Applications for the 2026 cohort open in September 2025.
