Research shows that first-year teachers are among the fastest to exit the profession; some surveys report up to 30% of new teachers quit within their first five years on the job, with many citing a lack of professional development and support as a reason to move on. To help provide new teachers with a strong start to the 2023-2024 school year, the Stride Professional Development Center (SPDC) has announced it will provide first-time teachers with one year of free access to its state-of-the-art eLearning platform, and offer discounted access to returning educators.

A division of Stride, Inc., SPDC is designed with educators in mind, offering access to an ever-growing library of on-demand professional development content for any teacher, in any school setting, to enhance their skills, promote student outcomes, and expand their professional network.

As part of its commitment to helping students of all ages reach their full potential, Stride, Inc. is now offering more content options that feature immersive and interactive game-based learning.

Stride has created a new collection of exclusive game-based lessons in Minecraft Education—a game comprised of blocks in which students learn by exploring different worlds. These interactive lessons have been integrated into K12-powered courses and are available within the Learning Hub, a digital teaching tool that allows educators to customize their respective courses with Stride assessments and other learning tools.

As part of its commitment to delivering an engaging, standards-aligned curriculum for K–12 students, Stride, Inc. is now offering more content options that feature animations with relatable characters and interactive lessons. Through a unique partnership with Wonder Media—a mission-driven production company that creates and produces animated stories for children, tweens and teens—Stride has curated collections of diverse video content and interactive lessons in its Stride Learning Hub: a digital teaching tool that allows educators to customize their respective courses with Stride assessments and other learning tools.

Stride K12 is encouraging students nationwide to “picture themselves” as a winner of the 2023 K12 National Photography competition. This year’s competition, “In Focus,” invites students in grades K-12 to submit their photography entries beginning on August 17th.
