Ready, Set, Robot: The 2024 Robotic Competition Has Begun!
As society moves closer to “Skynet” than ever before, Stride K12 is encouraging students nationwide to prepare for battle as they announce the 2024 K12 Robotics Competition and urges students across the country to unleash their Robo-Rivalry.
The 2024 K12 Robotics Competition, part of K12’s Student Enrichment Programs, is open to all students in grades 4–12. This includes students enrolled at K12-powered schools as well as students at any other school in the U.S.
GRAND OPENING: Heavy equipment training for high school students at Wright Technical Center
Students are receiving hands-on instruction in heavy equipment operation — while earning both high school and apprenticeship credit — through a new program at Wright Technical Center in Buffalo, Minnesota.
A grand opening Thursday, Sept. 14, will showcase the program and the “sandbox” where students can safely hone their operating skills. Industry and educational partners have donated more than $350,000 in equipment and labor for the sandbox and classroom.

Indiana Brothers Receive Esports Scholarships From Manchester University
National Video Game Day is September 12 – and for two brothers, video games have been more than just a way to pass the time. It will help fund their college education. Garrett and Gabriel Armstrong, of Rochester, are two recent Indiana Digital Learning School (INDLS) graduates that signed to be a part of Manchester University’s Esports team for the 2023 fall semester. The brothers, one graduating early, received academic scholarships for $22,000 per year, as well as Esports scholarships for $3,000 per year. In addition, they both graduated high school at INDLS with a certification in Cybersecurity.
